Details
The UEFA Executive Committee made the decision on May 3, 2023. The change is intended to provide teams with greater flexibility in managing their squads and reducing the risk of player burnout.
The Euro 2024 tournament will be held in Germany from June 15 to July 14, 2024. A total of 24 teams will compete in the tournament, which will be divided into six groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage.
With the increased squad size, teams will have more options available to them when selecting their rosters. This could lead to more competitive and exciting matches throughout the tournament.
